Matt Smith: 'Amy Pond is sexiest companion'

Matt Smith has claimed that Amy Pond is the sexiest ever Doctor Who companion.

The new Doctor told the TV Times that Amy, played by Karen Gillan, is "remarkable".

He added: "I think she's categorically the sexiest companion ever."

Meanwhile, Gillan joked that the Doctor can be sexy "at times".

"Amy's a sassy girl, so she doesn't have to wear baggy clothes," she added. "She can wear stuff that shows off a bit of skin from time to time - she's got the confidence to do that."

Doctor Who continues on Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC One.
