Stuck doing his community service, new kid on the block Rudy soon realises that he wasn't the only one caught in the storm - that he's not the only one trying to come to terms with living with a superpower. But as ever in the Misfits world it is not long before Rudy finds himself in a whole heap of superpower trouble...
Meanwhile the rest of the gang are trying to adapt to life with their new superpowers. But just how did the trade-off with Seth, the superpower dealer, go down?
With zombies on the loose, body-swap confusion, ghostly hauntings from the past and Simon trying to fulfil his destiny to become Superhoodie, things haven't become any quieter for our gang.
Joe Gilgun and Matthew McNulty join the regular line up alongside Misfits resident delinquents Bafta winner Lauren Socha, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Antonia Thomas and Iwan Rheon in the super-sized series which sees its run extended to eight episodes.

Joe Gilgun is the actor who’ll be playing Rudy, the new Misfit, replacing the  Robert Sheehan (Nathan).

Gilgun has previously appeared in Emmerdale, Harry Brown and This Is England.

“New kid on the block Rudy gets a rude awakening in his first few days of community service, learning that with the keys to the infamous locker comes a great deal of running and screaming and, in some instances, bloodletting. But that really is the least of his worries. More pressing is just how to keep his secret superpower, well, secret. And is it super? As in from the A- List?”

Ollie, an environmental protester who has the power to teleport, starts his community service, but is he really destined to become part of the gang? Out on the estate the gang are confronted by super-aggressive Tim who demands money at gunpoint.

They all escape bar Kelly who is held as hostage, so the gang find themselves needing the help of the mysterious man in the mask.Meanwhile Nikki, the girl from Curtis's flash forward vision, has a heart-transplant which gives rise to some unexpected side-effects...

Nathan is violently killed again and he suspects that Jessica, a charity worker from the community centre, is to blame. To make matters worse, Jessica seems to have targeted Simon as her next victim so the gang decide to track her down before she can strike again. 

Kelly meets Bruno who is on the run from the police. She hears his thoughts and he thinks she's beautiful. Has Kelly finally found her perfect man, or is there more to Bruno than meets the eye?

Signs are emerging that the BAFTA-award winning and surprise hit of last year, Misfits, has already been commissioned for a third series as well as being remade for US television. But its creator doesn’t want a film version.

Although there is yet to be any official announcements, the news slipped out during a question-and-answer session between Jonathan Ross and Howard Overman. The event session – which was attended by the media and fans of the show – was being hosted in London to launch series 2 of the Channel 4 drama.

TV.com reports that, during the interview, Ross said, “There are more episodes coming next year . . . aren’t there?”

Slightly taken aback, Overman, the show’s creator, replied, “I was told not to mention that.”

Ross also asked about a possible US version of Misfits, but, again, Overman was hesitant in his reply. He said:

Again, I’m not sure I’m supposed to talk about that.

There’s been a lot of interest in it and talk about maybe doing an American version, but you just have to make sure it’s done in the right way.

Later in the interview, Overman talked about a possible movie version of the show. However, seemingly pouring cold water on one seeing the light of day, he said: “We’ve had some offers, but we decided that we’ve told that story already. Why charge people for a rehashed version of what they’ve already seen?”

Next week's Nathan-centric Misfits episode features the appearance of someone claiming to be his brother, time-travelling (but not in the usual way) and more appearances from the mysterious masked man.
