Tricia Helfer on the Toronto set of The Firm, coming this winter to NBC. Tricia will have a recurring role on the upcoming show as Alex Clark, a senior partner in the law film Kinross & Clark.

How's everything going?


Totally fine, I'm actually at physical therapy on the traction table right now.

What's up with you? I talked to you a few years ago and you were on a treadmill.


Yeah, well, I would rather be on a treadmill right now than be on a traction table. [Laughs]

So are you going to be screaming or something in the next little bit?


No, they're just stretching my spine out.

What injuries do you have?


I got hurt about three months ago. I hurt my back and I hurt my shoulders.

You did? Were you riding your motorcycle?

No, I wasn't, I was kind of working. I did it on a movie and I decided to keep my mouth shut. One of those things.

How do Comic-Con and Fan Expo fans treat you, generally, when you go to those events? People seem to love you.

Yeah, you know, sci-fi fans have always been really respectful and appreciative of everything that I do even when they probably shouldn't, when I do a couple movies that they probably should avoid. [Laughs] But they're fantastic and they're really supportive and it's a genre of very, very loyal fans.

Bear McCreary has released a new Battlestar Galactica CD!

The Music of Battlestar Galactica for Solo Piano was recorded and performed live on a world-class instrument by an equally world-class pianist: Joohyun Park.  The limited edition CD package contains exclusive liner notes from Randall Larson which are among the most insightful and highly-detailed analyses of my work I’ve ever read.  Larson chronicles the origin of each piece and conducted in-depth interviews with myself and Park about the process of arranging them for piano and producing the recording.

BBC America have acquired Battlestar Galactica. BBC America has signed a deal with NBC Universal to air the two-part miniseries that launched in 2004, as well as Seasons 1 through 4.


Battlestar Galactica will begin airing on BBC America from Saturday, June 18, 2011, which will be part of their “Supernatural Saturday” line-up, which also includes the new season of Doctor Who, as well as the UK original series Being Human (starting Spring 2012), Outcasts (June 18 at (9pm ET/PT), and Bedlam (October 8 at 9pm ET/PT)
