ABC has re-scheduled the Season 2 premiere of the re-imagined series so that the Visitors will now arrive in early 2011. "V" will be partnered with the network's freshman genre series, "No Ordinary Family," in the hopes that the lineup could benefit both shows in the ratings department.
Both "V" and "No Ordinary Family" are far from a hit for the Disney-owned network, but each have showed some promise in their respective premieres. Last season "V" drew 14 million viewers and was a hit within the 18-49 age bracket (which is a key demographic advertisers filling sponsor slots). However, numbers for the Fifth Column dwindled when the series returned from its extended break at the beginning of 2010 and eventually settled around the 6 million mark by the season's end.
