DC Comics' The Source has released the first artwork from its new upcoming series Batwoman.
The project is to be pencilled by J.H. Williams III, who will also co-write it along with W. Haden Blackman.
The venture will follow Kate Kane in her role to protect Gotham City as Batwoman.
Kane is notable as the first openly lesbian character to star in her own comic book series.
More details about the new ongoing are expected to be announced at this week's San Diego Comic-Con.
