“Jason’s trying to deal with the fact that he’s killed a man,” Kwanten, an honoree at the awards, said of his character. “When the chips are down like that, you can either rise from the ashes or dig further down. Jason’s always got his own unique way of doing it.”
Indeed, the character of Jason Stackhouse does, though his efforts to be a leader amongst men is usually derailed by someone of the female persuasion. The same may hold true for Jason this season, too. Might a bit of derailing come in the form of ex-lover, aka minister’s wife Sarah Newell (Anna Camp) seeking revenge? “Let’s just say yes and we can leave it there,” says Kwanten. Will Jason take a walk on the wild side by hooking up with creatures of another species? After all, such proclivities do run in the family. “Yeah, they do,” says Kwanten. “I’ll leave that there actually.”
Wesley is more forthcoming about the love life of her character. “Tara has a lot of mourning to do over Eggs,” she says. “You’ll see her go through that before she gets swept up in another storyline.” Said storyline does involve a love interest by the name of Franklin Mott, played by James Frain. “Tara has a possible love interest who is possibly a vampire,” Wesley hints. “The relationship is partly by choice. Partly not.” What she will say about Mott – “He’s tall, dark and handsome with an emphasis on dark.”
