Victory of the Daleks - due to be broadcast on April 17 - is written by Mark Gatiss who is no stranger to the world of Who having previously penned The Unquiet Dead and The Idiot's Lantern whilst starring in The Lazarus Experiment (not to mention numerous other involvements).
Featuring the return of the intergalactic pepperpots this tale also sees the time period of World War II return with the familiar sight of Winston Churchill (played by Ian McNeice). But what is his alliance with Skaro's finest all about?
The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine (number 420 - available from April 1) tells us that the Daleks are referred to as "Ironsides" and have been developed by the British army as a new weapon. But is there really a "victory" in store for The Doctor's oldest foe? I guess we'll just have to wait and see but both Steven Moffat and Gatiss suggest that the title is literal...
