Walter Koenig Gets His Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Today The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce finally filled out their Star Trek set, by including Koenig on their list of 2012 honorees. In addition to Koenig, the list of 25 new honorees includes Star Trek: Generation’s Malcolm McDowell, Batman’s Adam West, recording artists Boyz II Men and Simpson’s creator Matt Groening.

No date is set yet for Walter to get his star but he and the other recipients have five years to schedule ceremonies.

Last night  William Shatner added another award to his collection to sit alongside his Emmys and lifetime achievement awards. This time Bill was being honored at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards as an "Honorary Headbanger."

Star Trek Statues from Hollywood Collectibles
The first of the Hollywood Collectibles Group’s Trek statues will be released on the first quarter of 2011, and is now available for reserve preorder. The hand-painted 10 inch statue of James T. Kirk sitting in his command chair (from the original Star Trek) is made from heavyweight polystone and is presented in 1:6 scale. Hollywood Collectibles is offered in two versions. The regular edition statue is limited to 600, and is availabledirectly from Hollywood Collectibles Group’s website and online retailers for $199.95.















Gameforge Announces Star Trek Deep Space Nine Browser Game



DS9 Browser Game Coming Next Summer

Today Gameforge, the world’s largest publisher of free-to-play browser games, issued a press release announcing they had chosen the Frankfurt developer Keen Games to produce their first free-to-play Star Trek game, now titled "Star Trek® – Infinite Space”. The browser-based multiplayer role playing game will be set in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine timeline.

Star Trek® – Infinite Space is expected to be released in the summer of 2011. Gameforge is also working on a Star Trek game for Facebook (ala Farmville). Star Trek design veterans Mike and Denise Okuda are working with Gameforge
