Mary McDonnell Made a Series Regular on 'The Closer'

Battlestar Galactica vet Mary McDonnell is returning for the seventh season of The Closer, as a series regular.

McDonnell, who had been recurring in the fifth and sixth seasons of the TNT drama, will return as Capt. Sharon Raydor in Season 7.

The upcoming season, which premieres July 11 at 9 p.m., marks Kyra Sedgwick’s swan song.

TNT will air 10 episodes of Season 7 this summer, but the network has not announced plans for the remaining episodes.
