It would seem that Doctor Who isn’t popular with everyone.
Apparently British actor Trevor Eve, who is best known for his role as Detective Superintendent Peter Boyd in BBC Crime drama Waking The Dead, has slammed the network’s focus on Doctor Who.
Talking to The Sunday Times, Eve condemned the BBC for neglecting other projects while amping up support for the popular science-fiction series.
“All they are interested in are spinoffs from Doctor Who and [shows similar to] Doctor Who, like Sherlock,” he claimed.
The actor went on to complain about Doctor Who taking up financial resources, which he feels should be going to other series.
“It’s fine as far as it goes, but Doctor Who is a 40-year-old children’s programme,” he argued.
