Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 Titles & Synopsis

“The Nightmare Man” (Episodes 1 & 2) By Joseph Lidster

A seemingly scary story;
Focused on Luke, and him being “an outsider”.

“The Vault of Secrets” (Episodes 3 & 4) By Phil Ford

Marks the return of the Androvax and gives the character “more depth”;
“Gita [Rani’s mother] attends a meeting of the British UFO Research and Paranormal Studies Society (BURPPSS!) led by Ocean Waters, a lady who has previously had her own alien encounters [Played by Cheryl Campbell]”; The Men in Black, previously seen in Dreamland return.

“Death of the Doctor” (Episodes 5 & 6) By Russell T Davies

Stars Matt Smith as the Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Laila Rouass [Primeval] as a “no-nonsense UNIT officer”, and Finn Jones as Jo’s grandson, Santiago [Most likely the boy seen in the TMI clip of Death of the Doctor, so no, it’s not Luke’s replacement]; “We meet Groske, who are completely different to Graske”;
The story takes place in a secret UNIT base under Mount Snowden, and the new UNIT colonel is called Colonol Karim;

“The Empty Planet” (Episodes 7 & 8) By Gareth Roberts

“It’s a normal day for Clyde and Rani. Until they realise they are the only on the Earth.”;
But they’re not so alone. They soon encounter robot adversaries [As seen in the CBBC Autumn trailer];
Rani and Clyde take the centre stage for this episode.

“Lost in Time” (Episodes 9 & 10) By Rupert Laight

Sarah Jane, Clyde and Rani travel back in time to three separate points in time, as something is fiddling with the time lines; Sarah Jane ends up in an empty Victorian house, Rani in the Tower of London, and Clyde in 1941 on the beaches of Southern England, where a Nazi invasion is taking place; Three stories take place at one time, which lead to “three or four” cliff hangers.

“Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith” (Episodes 11 & 12) By Clayton Hickman and Gareth Roberts

Ruby White, played by Survivors (the “re-imagining”, not the original) star, Julie Graham, moves in around the corner of Bannerman Road. Ruby is an alien investigator; These episodes deal with Sarah Jane’s realisation that she is ageing, and her insecurities about growing old.
