Edward James Olmos is to play a guest role in the upcoming seventh season of CSI: NY.
TV Guide reports that the actor will play a former gang leader in an episode scheduled to air in October.
The character, recently released from prison, will seek revenge on Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise), who sent him to jail 15 years earlier.
The part will be Olmos's first television role since playing Admiral William Adama on Battlestar Galactica.
The new season of CSI: NY will premiere on September 24 on CBS.
